9.2. Introduction to iOS

IOS, formerly known as iPhone OS, is a mobile operating system developed by Apple.

The first version of iOS was released in 2007, including iPhone and iPod Touch.

The iPad (first generation) was released on January 27th, and the iPad Mini was released in November 2012.

IOS devices are released quite frequently, and past experience shows that at least one version of iPhone and iPad is released every year.

Now iPhone6s has been released, and before that, iPhone,iPhone3gs,iPhone4,iPhone4s and iphone5, iPhone5s, iPhone6 have been launched.
